Aww, its that time again! We are back for another great week of Sports to Watch and its going to be a great one! This week we have big games in college football and pro football and there is going to be a great one to watch. Lets get to it.
Time: Sunday, October 23rd at 4:30p.m.
Analysis: This week is filled with a bunch of great games. First and foremost, New England hosts Pittsburgh in a match up of first place teams in the AFC. What makes this match up even more interesting is the fact that Big Ben Roethlisberger is out for this game, and Pittsburgh can’t afford to go down two straight games. Can Pittsburgh’s high-octane offense keep up with Tom Brady and the Patriots?
And speaking of keeping up, we are all going to have to keep up with the time because we have the New York Giants playing the L.A. Rams in London. Will the G-Men force the Rams to play top draft pick Jared Goff or will Case Keenum keep his job by winning against the Giants in the shadows of London? We also have great games in San Diego playing Atlanta, Minnesota playing the Philadelphia Eagles and the return to the Mile High city for Brock Osweiler as the Houston Texans take on the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football. This is going to be a great weekend of NFL football.
Time: Saturday, October 22nd at 3:30p.m.
Analysis: Ooh this is going to be a good one. First lets talk about the highlighted game, as Alabama hosts the Aggies of College Station in a pivotal game for the SEC. Alabama is coming off a big win against Tennessee and this game is a game they cannot afford to lose. Texas A&M not only has a defense that can shut down Alabama but also has an offense that can beat the Tide in Tuscaloosa. Remember who the QB of the Aggies is, which is Trevor Knight, the same QB two years ago beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. This game is going to be a good one.
And the games don’t stop there. On Thursday, October 20th, Miami plays Virginia Tech in a pivotal ACC match up. Can Brad Kaaya rebound from his last two losses or will the Hokies prove they are for real in this battle? We also have Ole Miss going up against LSU in Baton Rouge, in a match up in which Chad Kelly will be looking to prove why he is the best quarterback in the country against a LSU Tigers team that is looking to salvage a season after losing former coach Les Miles. Finally we have huge Big Ten games as Penn State hosts #2 Ohio State, who would love nothing more than to play spoiler to the Buckeyes season, #3 Michigan hosting the Fighting Illini of Illinois and Wisconsin looking to rebound from two losses to take on divisional rival Iowa. This is one Saturday where you are going to want to have the popcorn ready.
Well those are my Sports To Watch for this weekend. Come back later today and I will be doing my picks for this week and who you should be rooting for to win. And later next week, come back and check out my big predictions for the upcoming NBA Season!!
